Sherry Knight has more than 20 years experience in public relations, media and marketing. She oversees ITA's communications with patients, clients and physicians, its media efforts, and its internal communications. Before joining ITA, she founded and led a public relations consulting firm for 12 years, often serving organizations dedicated to improving health care and education. She previously worked in corporate public relations and was an award-winning newspaper reporter.

As a public relations consultant, she developed and directed communications for transitions such as rapid growth, expansion of organizational focus, and business launch. Her clients included ITA Partners; a Web-based behavioral health organization; a statewide charter public schools movement; and a state university expanding its programs in a major metropolitan market.

She previously was the senior executive leading Michigan-based communications for a telecommunications corporation. As a newspaper reporter, her work included coverage of a National Guard unit during the Persian Gulf War, county government, state prisons, the U.S. Naval Academy, and environmental issues involving the Chesapeake Bay.

She is a graduate of Central Michigan University.
